Rocky Hill along with SolarCity constructed a 3.9 megawatt solar energy farm consisting of 12,000 ground mounted solar panels. The electricity produced by the system is consumed by 15 municipal facilities including the schools and street lights. The total benefit to taxpayers will be approximately $7.2 million over 20 years.
